Teamtalk media

TEAMtalk media is an independently owned digital media company specialising in the production, publication and commercialisation of sports news, content and data across multiple platforms – white labelling agnostic content.
The company manages one of the largest sports networks in Africa, with more than 80 million page impressions per month. TEAMtalk.media is the official data partner in Africa for the Barclays Premier League, the Premier Soccer League and others.
==Background==
TEAMtalk was established in the early 1990s by IMS Limited, a company bought out of William Hill Leisure, led by former William Hill director Bill Wilson and Radio Producer Ian Holding. It was originally established as a premium-rate football club news service, as a rival to the longer established Clubcall.
The service flourished and became an early pioneer of sports internet publishing.
In April 2000, Wilson and Holding demerged TEAMtalk from IMS PLC with a successful listing on the London Stock Exchange. The company expanded with international websites and extended media ownership, including the launch of sports radio station TEAMtalk 252.
In a later acquisition by UK Betting plc, TEAMtalk became part of the larger 365 Media Group.
To provide a cost-effective hub providing editorial, mobile content, customer support and online ad trafficking services for the emerging markets across the African continent, TEAMtalk Media South Africa was formed in 2005. Following the purchase of the 365 Media Group by BSkyB in 2007, the South African operation was further expanded to supply sports content feeds into www.skysports.com and establish a SkyBet operations centre.
In 2011, a management buyout led to the establishment of TEAMtalk Media (Pty) Ltd as an independent business based in Cape Town, South Africa, followed by the strategic acquisitions of PA Sports South Africa in 2011 and SA Rugby.com and its affiliated network of sites in 2012.
In 2013, the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ole! Media Group (OMG) led by Tim Legg and Deseré Orrill who had been involved with TTM since 2009.
In 2013, the company established an office in Nairobi, Kenya.
